FMC

Shipco Transport is a licensed NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Commercial Carrier) with the Federal Maritime commission. The FMC is the independent federal agency responsible for regulating the US international ocean transportation system for the benefit of US exporters, importers and the US consumer.

Access license

C-TPAT

Shipco is proud to be one of the first NVOCCs to be a certified participant in C-TPAT,
Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism. Shipco strives to not only meet the requirements of C-TPAT but exceed them. Shipments managed by C-TPAT certified companies are 4-6 times less likely to undergo examinations by Customs and Border Patrol. All ocean freight is covered under this certification and eligible for its many benefits, including front of the line privileges when cargo is selected for inspection. Shipco's Status Verification Interface is shiCon01486.

Air Compliance

TSA

TSA approved Indirect Air Carrier (IAC)

In the US, we employ a security program that meets the standards of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Shipco is an approved Indirect Air Carrier (IAC) where other IACs can tender freight to us in an "IAC to IAC transaction". We are able to accept bookings from third party logistics providers who do not have their own TSA approved security program.

TSA Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF)

All shipments leaving the US on a passenger aircraft must be screened prior to uplift, either by an Independent Cargo Screening Facility, the IACs who are CCSFs or by the airlines themselves. As a CCSF, Shipco can offer screening at the majority of our facilities.

IATA

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is a global trade organization which defines all airline rules and regulations. Shipco has been certified with the IATA since 1995.
